I noticed a lot of upload traffic (red graph in D/U Meter) on WS4

It was almost maxing out.

 

The disk space was going down from over 1 gig free down to 100 megs left.

 

I rebooted in Safe mode.

I renamed the directory inetpub (a favorite place for hackers to upload to) to inetpub2

Then rebooted normally.

 

This stopped the upload traffic.

 

Then I tried to delete the folder but could not.

It had folders named lpt1, com1, aux  and other reserved words.

 

I went to DOS with CMD and typed

rmdir inetpub2 /s

 

And this recovered over 1 gig of space.
